Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and a singer. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, to an Polish mother and father who has a mix of German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen's talents for performing were found at a young age. When she was in 1992, she attended her first audition. She got a part of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent when she was 13 and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at the age of 13. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music as well as drama. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she won the part of Dorothy. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts for a musical theater course upon graduating. Bell quit university in 2001, and began taking on the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she made her first credited debut with Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and she was only seen in the credits sequence. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
