Robyn Rihanna known as Rihanna in Barbados is an Barbadian musician and singer who has given us popular songs such as Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. She is a very popular artist who has sold over 41 million albums around the world and over 150 million songs. Born in Barbados, she was able to appreciate reggae music and began singing when she was a young child. Due to the chaos in her home and the arguments that her parents were having, she began to pursue music. Soon she decided she wanted to become an artist. At the age of 16 she formed a band of musicians and got the chance to meet music producer Evan Rodgers. He was amazed by her talents. His request was that the teenager relocate to New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it.
